Check a whole product list at once
Natural health products sold in Canada need a product licence: an NPN, or a DIN-HM for a homeopathic medicine. Drugs need a DIN, and medical devices of class II to IV need a device licence. ApprovalTrail looks these up one at a time, free. The bulk check would do a whole list.
What it would do
- Take a spreadsheet of NPNs, DINs, DIN-HMs or medical device licence numbers.
- Give each one’s status in Health Canada’s databases (active, cancelled, suspended, stop sale, or not found), its holder, the product names on the licence and its dates.
- Flag the numbers that are cancelled, suspended or not found, and names that don’t match the licence.
- Check the list again every week and email you when a status changes.
- Give the results back as a spreadsheet.
Who it is for
Online sellers checking a catalogue, importers and distributors, shops and pharmacies, and regulatory consultants. It would be paid; the price is not set. Every page on this site stays free.
